I have nearly 10 years of experience working full-time as a psychological therapist in various NHS mental health services. With my experience as a CBT therapist, we can work together to identify unhelpful thinking and behavioural patterns that are maintaining your current symptoms and issues. This then means we can find various ways to help see how you can make active changes to reduce the symptoms of various mental health issues. Where applicable, I will also provide you with materials that you can take away with you from sessions to help practice new techniques and skills we have started looking at in sessions. With my Interpersonal Therapy training, I can help you to explore how loss or changes in relationships have caused significant distress and how to resolve or move forward from these issues. This could be processing the grief of a lost loved one, how to resolve ongoing arguments and disputes with someone close to you or struggling with adjustment to big changes in your life. I ensure to regularly attend training and professional development courses. This ensures I am always up-to-date with the newest relevant research and knowledge in most effective ways of delivering therapy. It also helps me to continue to develop my competencies at working with individuals from all cultures and backgrounds. I offer short-term and long-term therapy. Although I may suggest an initial minimum amount of sessions I expect to be needed, we will discuss and review this together through our sessions how many you'd like.
