Craig Kerrecoe
About the Therapist
I am an NCPS Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor.

I have been trained to work integratively using a selection of complimentary modalities and concepts, including Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and several more. That’s all very dry and uninteresting isn’t it? Most of those phrases or terms probably don’t mean very much to you, and to be honest, it isn’t really very important which therapeutic models I use.  What is important is that I will work hard to build a strong, authentic, reliable therapeutic alliance with you, whatever the issues you bring with you to therapy. In terms of the lived-experience that I will bring to our alliance, I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community since coming out later in life. You may be struggling to come to terms with your sexuality or gender experience. Perhaps you are thinking about coming out to your friends and family? I know from personal experience that this deliberate act of moving towards living an authentic life can feel scary. Are you looking for support with the process and are ready to explore the various challenges, concerns and difficult emotional responses that can be experienced, such as anxiety, depression, anger, hurt, self-damning and PTSD? These are understandable responses to the discrimination and othering that you may have experienced or are experiencing now.I offer a service firmly rooted in principles of acceptance and understanding.

I am also neurodivergent and have a great deal of lived-experience related to the frequently uncomfortable clash between neurodivergent people and the neurotypical world in which we exist.

If you want to know more about me in order to figure out if I am the right therapist for you I will be happy to answer your questions during our consultation. Contact me so that we can book your free 20 minute online/telephone consultation.

I have been trained to work integratively using a selection of complimentary modalities and concepts, including Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Solution Focussed Therapy (SFT), together with attachment theory, affirmations and schemas.I have received additional training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Eye-Movement Desentisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and plan to continue my training and professional development in those fascinating modalities.Working 'integratively' like this means that I can modify and adapt the therapeutic processes that we will rely on in our sessions, aiming for a confidential, safe, non-judgemental environment in which to explore your challenges, concerns and difficult emotional experiences, in a way that suits you.I completed my placement during training with a large, national, affordable counselling service offering online sessions, and a small affordable counselling charity in my hometown offering face to face counselling. I have continued to work part-time for this small charity after completing my studies and becoming accredited.  Alongside this I have established my own private practice offering online, telephone and email therapy sessions, as well as 'Walk and Talk' sessions in Tonbridge, Kent. The walk and talk format is generally considered to be much more relaxed than sitting in a therapy room facing your therapist.
