About the Therapist
Past experiences can leave deep emotional marks, even when we think we've moved on. You might notice old patterns, emotional triggers, or a sense of being 'stuck' that keeps showing up. Trauma-informed counselling offers a gentle, grounded way to begin healing at your own pace in a place that feels safe. Together, will work on understanding how these experiences affect you today and help you reconnect with a sense of stability as self-trust. Working with trauma helps us focus on healing and moving from simply surviving to living a more fulfilling life. Anxiety and stress can take over so easily. Racing thoughts, tension in your body, a sense that you can't quite switch off. You might feel on edge, overwhelmed, or unsure why certain situations trigger such strong reactions. By working through anxiety in counselling sessions, we can explore what's behind these feelings and find ways to calm the nervous system so that you can feel more in control day-to-day. I offer my support to help slow things down, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and develop tools to manage life's pressures with more ease and self-compassion.

I like to focus on what’s happening for you right now, because being present and engaged with today lays the foundation for a healthier, more fulfilling future. That said, our work will also gently explore your past, taking time to understand how your experiences have shaped you. We need to know your location before we find your destination.
By bringing awareness to old patterns and untangling unhelpful thoughts and responses, we can make sense of them in a way that feels more true to who you are today. From there, it’s about reshaping those thoughts and beliefs so they support your growth, helping you move forward with more clarity, confidence and self-compassion.
We will do all of this at a pace that feels right for you, no pressure, no rush, just a space where you can figure things out in your own time.
