About the Therapist
Hi, I’m David
I’m a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the BACP.
Sometimes life can feel heavy or confusing, even when we can’t put our finger on why.Â
You might be carrying emotions or experiences that feel too much to handle alone, or noticing parts of your life that no longer feel right.
Whatever brings you here, you’re very welcome. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’ll work alongside you to find a way forward that feels right for you.

Why Therapy?
If you’re tired of carrying things alone, or pretending you’re coping when you’re not, therapy can offer a confidential, non-judgemental space to talk openly about what’s going on for you. This in itself can be a great source of relief.
Perhaps you’re feeling ready to explore past experiences in a way that feels safe and supported. I offer a supportive space to explore both past hurts and present challenges, helping you make sense of what may be troubling you or holding you back.
Therapy isn’t about fixing you… It’s about giving yourself the space to understand yourself and reconnect with what’s important.
Our sense of self can shift, and sometimes we lose touch with parts of ourselves that have been overlooked or silenced. In therapy, we can explore those parts, reconnect with what matters to you, and find ways to live more authentically—even as that authenticity changes over time.
How I work
I take an integrative, holistic approach, looking at mind, body, and making room for the deeper, often hard-to-describe aspects of what it means to be human.
While therapy is ultimately a conversation between us, I can also use creative approaches like metaphor, art, music, movement, or dreams. Going beyond words, I have found these methods can help us gain new perspectives and find fresh ways forward when feeling stuck.
I keep therapy flexible, responding to what feels most useful for you.
In challenging times
It feels important to name that much of the challenges and anxiety faced in the present arise from simply existing in these time. Social and political structures can create injustice, oppression, and discrimination, and these realities can affect how we feel about ourselves and the world.
I offer a space where you can give voice to and explore the complex feelings that arise from simply existing in the here and now.
Some of the themes I have interest and experience in working with are:
Anxiety
Depression
Hopelessness
Loss
Shame
Identity
Change / life transitions
Purpose
Sex and sexuality
Gender
Oppression
Past trauma
Relationships
Addiction
