I work in a way that’s person-centred, integrative, inclusive and relational. My approach is affirmative in encouraging you to bring any and all parts of your unique self; I take care not to pathologise or criticise you.Â
I have a special interest and passion in working creatively, using somatic approaches and embodiment practices. I strongly believe that as well as talking, there are many different ways for us to communicate and express our feelings and experiences. Examples of things I might encourage you to explore include imagery, puppets, sand trays, paint, clay, poetry, dreams and metaphors.
I work very relationally, and I believe therapy can only be effective if there’s a strong therapeutic relationship at the heart of it. I’m interested in exploring what goes on in the therapeutic process and how this may mirror dynamics you’re experiencing in your wider life and relationships.
I am committed to working intersectionally and using anti-oppressive practice, and to the ongoing learning and reflection that working in this way requires. I will, where necessary, bring in my lived experience to support the process and the relationship.
I’ve worked in the charity sector for 15 years, which has involved working with a lot of complex mental health issues, risk, safeguarding, and supporting a diverse range of people from age 13 upwards.Â
The space where I hold in-person therapy sessions is up four flights of stairs. Currently, there is no lift. Accessibility is so important to me, and I'm really sorry that this is the situation at the moment. I'm working with the building developers and there are plans to install a lift in the near future; unfortunately I don't yet have an exact timescale for this.
The lighting in my space is soft and can be adjusted. The room temperature is also adjustable, and there is a quiet waiting area. I always have fidget toys and creative materials available for fiddling and doodling!

I work face-to-face, by video and by telephone.Â
Face-to-face sessions are held at The Alternative (wellness studio) in Ardwick, Manchester.
My fee is £60 per 50-minute session.
It’s really important to me that my practice is accessible to people who may be struggling to meet the cost of basic needs. So, I always hold limited places at a reduced rate of £35.
If you’re a counselling or therapy student, I offer limited places at a lower rate of £45 per 50-minute session.
Sessions are usually weekly, but there is also the option to have fortnightly sessions, or 90-minute sessions if needed.
I can offer short-term counselling if you have a specific problem you’d like to work on. Sometimes this can be enough, or sometimes other things may emerge, and we might choose to extend and continue our work.Â
I offer a free 30-minute chemistry call, which is an opportunity for you to ask questions about how I work and to share more about what you’re looking for in therapy. I know how daunting it can be to find the right therapist, so this is a way of getting a sense of whether we’d work well together, and there is no obligation to continue after this initial call.Â
