Dr Liam Pollock
About the Therapist
I’m a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and run a private online therapy practice based near Dundee, Scotland. I have been working one-to-one with people from diverse backgrounds for nearly a decade, supporting clients as they explore challenges, clarify their goals, and make meaningful changes in their lives.
Before qualifying as a counsellor, I lived and worked in London, China and Georgia, giving me a broad perspective on culture, identity and the different ways people approach psychological support.
I hold a PhD in Psychology from Queen Mary University of London, a Masters in Counselling from Abertay University.

My therapeutic approach is pluralistic, which means I adapt the work to your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit a single model. Depending on what’s most helpful for you, I may draw from person-centred, Gestalt, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Jungian, or other approaches. Whatever the method, the aim is the same: a grounded, collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and able to speak freely.
The relationship between client and therapist is the most reliable predictor of change. My style is warm, straightforward, and attentive, and I work with you to shape therapy in a way that reflects your values, pace, and preferences. Once a steady place to talk is established, we can explore what has brought you here and find ways of moving forward in a direction that feels right for you.
