About the Therapist
In my practice, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT has a robust evidence base, with numerous studies demonstrating its effectiveness in treating a wide range of psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress.
I work as a health researcher as well as running a small private practice. I find that my private practice helps to make sure my research is grounded in client experiences and my research helps to make sure my client work is based on what really works.
Please call or email me to arrange a free 15 min consultation, where we'll talk about what you want to get out of therapy. If you're happy to continue we'll set up an initial session, and then will arrange to see each other weekly/fortnightly from there.

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support individuals with gender, sex, and relationship diversity. ACT is particularly effective in this context because it emphasises embracing one's identity and experiences.
By helping clients develop psychological flexibility, I assist them in accepting their diverse identities and experiences while committing to actions that align with their values. This approach enables clients to manage distress related to societal stigma, internalised oppression, and minority stressors. Through mindfulness and value-based action, clients learn to navigate their unique challenges with greater resilience and authenticity, fostering a more positive and empowered sense of self.
