About the therapist:

I am a queer polyamorous leatherwoman and my pronouns are she/her. As above, I have been working with people for 35 years with specialities in sex and relationships (GSRD) and the treatment of trauma. I have lived in the UK more than half my life, was brought up and did my training in the US to PhD level (finished the research in the UK) and then post-qualification diploma and other training in the UK. I lived in Kent for most of that time but am now located in Scotland, near Edinburgh. Besides therapy and coaching, I am a published author, write regularly for media, established podcast host, and the resident specialist therapist for Open House: the Great Sex Experiment (on Channel 4). I also do other TV and media work. I am married with a grown child and have two other long-term partners. My leisure time is spent with my chosen family, friends, partners and my son, and my dogs. I like to make music, listen to music, the theatre, reading, being out in nature, creative writing and cooking.

Experience and approach:

I have been working with people for 35 years (coaching specifically for 15 years). I have formal coaching training to the level of ACC with ICF and use a whole person approach though I have specific expertise coaching around sex, intimacy and relationship issues. I have formal mediation training as well.

I am pragmatic in my approach, using techniques and methods that I believe will work best for a particular client dealing with a specific issue at a particular time. My hourly rate is very expensive if you are paying one session at a time as I prefer to encourage a commitment to a minimum block of time. When a person purchases a block of time, the rate is lower.

My regular hourly rates (depending upon how many hours are purchased) run from a low of £175 to £269.

I make a number of decreased rates available for people whose income means they cannot afford my regular rates. These start at £150 per hour.

Groups are the most economical option for working with me and start at £247 for three hours per month.

Each year I do some pro bono work for people who do not have the means to pay. I work with these clients for as long as it takes for free. These spaces usually go very quickly.

I do an intro session at £75 for 30 minutes which is refundable upon purchasing any service.
