About the Therapist
Hello, I'm Cora. I specialise in helping Millennials, Gen. Z, and members of the queer community navigate modern life.
Since opening my private practice in 2018, I’ve worked with a range of contemporary challenges, including anxiety and depression; burnout and perfectionism; relationships, communication and boundaries; family challenges; self-esteem and self-criticism; identity, life direction and meaning; bereavement, failure and loss; LGBTQ+ issues and gender, sex and relationship diversity (GSRD); parenting and queer parenting experiences; career and workplace difficulties; and loneliness, feeling lost, and feeling stuck.Â
I also often work with people who can't quite put a finger on what brings them to therapy, but know something needs to change. Sometimes, nothing in particular is 'wrong', but we know things could feel more 'right'.Â

I'm an Accredited member of the BACP, and have been in private practice since 2018. Prior to this, I saw clients at agencies providing therapy for loss, and for stress, depression and anxiety.Â
My client base focuses on people from the Millennial, Gen Z and/or queer+ communities. I have particular experience of working with people in creative, tech and legal careers, and an interest in working with people with a background in competitive sport.
In addition to my client work, I write about various aspects of therapy. Alongside writing and contributing to articles exploring challenges specifically faced by my client base, I have my own Substack and blog, ‘The PsychGeist’. ‘The PsychGeist’ is about the intersection between pop culture and therapy, and what we can learn from where the two meet. Recent topics include Wayward, The White Lotus, Glow Up, and reality TV show gem The Ultimatum: Queer Love.
I'm sometimes joined in sessions by my calico cat Rizzo, who fortunately adheres to the same confidentiality standards that I do.

How I work
I offer modern, down-to-earth therapy that starts from a place of understanding how difficult life today can be - it’s not easy trying to find happiness, stability and hope while the world is also on fire. In therapy, we work together to help you reach solid ground, amid the tide of uncertainty. At your pace, we’ll look to make sense of the challenges you’re facing, and to find new ways forward that bring you more choice, authenticity, and fulfilment. Together, we’ll work out how to make your life feel like yours.
I’m an Integrative therapist, which means I don’t adhere to only one school of therapy - instead, I blend ideas from diverse sources into my work. While my work is heavily influenced by a background in philosophy, languages and literature, I’m also very interested in what we can learn from pop culture and the everyday world around us. There is always space in my therapy room to talk about the new thing you read, watched, played or listened to that really spoke to you - even truly terrible reality TV can sometimes provide a window into ourselves, in the most surprising ways.Â
A little extra information about me
I’m an Accredited member of the BACP, and have been working in this field for almost a decade. Prior to starting my private practice in 2018, I saw clients at agencies specialising in therapy for bereavement, and for stress, depression and anxiety.
I also run a blog, in which I write about pop culture from a therapist's perspective (spoiler alert: I'm the therapist). You can find the blog on my website.Â

My fees are on a sliding scale between £70 and £90 per 50-minute session. Within this scale, you choose your own rate, based on what you feel is the right fee for you.
Our first meeting is a chance for us to discuss any questions you may have and to see whether we might work well together, so there is a reduced fee of £60 for this appointment.
I also offer low-cost appointments, so you're very welcome to get in touch if you'd like to ask me about these.
I respond to every email I receive, so please check your spam folder if you're waiting to hear from me.
