About the Therapist
Emma: I am integratively trained therapist who works using a black empathic approach and an intersectional lens. I'm interested in how your identity: self defined or socially prescribed affects you and your relationships. I am compassionate, calm and here for you during difficult times. I care about how your issues are affecting you and offer a warm affirming relationship to ease some of the stress or anxiety you carry. My work is trauma informed. Let's safely explore the events that have shaped you to see how we can redefine your narrative to makes sense of your present and nurture the best you that you can be.

With pan London in person and online experience in bereavement services in the NHS, depression, domestic violence and trauma and online experience with international clients, I approach our work respecting you, our relationship. I consider historical experiences and current challenges to shape our work. I work psychodynamically underpinned with a person centred focus. This means i'm interested in how your early childhood experiences have shaped you, including traumatic and challenging events. And I hold the belief that you are the expert on you and will be the best you can be, given the right relationship.
