Erene Hadjiioannou
About the Therapist
I started working with adult clients in 2010, offering one-to-one psychotherapy. My experience also includes: offering clinical supervision for a range of practitioners, setting up and co-ordinating therapeutic services, and offering community-based support for those who struggle to access ‘mainstream’ services.
Outside of clinical work I am an author, speaker, trainer and activist. I am most frequently approached to provide training on the Crown Prosecution Service Guidelines on ‘Pre-Trial Therapy’, with much of my activism work also being in this area.

I am an active participant in the process of supporting you, facilitating a space for you to explore your concerns at your pace.
Collaboratively working together means developing a working relationship, checking in with you often, and making decisions together on how best to approach the changes you want to make.
Mental health problems do not occur in a vacuum. Systemic issues have real-life, daily implications for people who are societally marginalised, disempowered, and oppressed.
Psychotherapy is a space to work with this reality, finding ways to increase your sense of clarity, autonomy, and power. This happens with you at the centre of the process.
I am practised in supporting people from under-represented and marginalised communities such as LGBT+ people, and people of varied cultural and ethnic heritages.
