Eva Stylianou
About the Therapist
I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor working with children, adolescents, and adults in private practice and as an adoption specialist therapist. I have worked therapeutically with clients living with anxiety, depression, complex mental health difficulties, disability, illness, and adverse life experiences. I have worked at a domestic and sexual violence charity; giving therapy to children and adolescents with complex trauma and suffering with the adverse effects associated with the experience of attachment disruption, abuse, and family separation. I also have experience working in a variety of settings including schools, the NHS, and women’s centres.
I offer dyadic therapy, which involves working with a parent/caregiver and child together. It is a way of working which focuses directly on the child’s primary attachment relationship. The therapist does not become the child’s therapist or the caregiver’s therapist but the relationship’s therapist.
