Faye Li (Manchester City Centre & Chorlton)
About the Therapist
I am a qualified counsellor based in Manchester, with experience of working with a wide range of issues, including abuse, self-harm, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I work face-to-face in the Manchester city centre, and in Chorlton. I also work online.
Experience
Before I re-trained as a counsellor, I worked in the charity sector for over 9 years, mostly in LGBTQ+ health. Over the years, I've gained a broad understanding of issues relating to gender identity and sexuality, such as coming out, discrimination, and minority stress.
In my counselling practice, I have experience of working with a wide range of issues including abuse, self-harm, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. In particular I have experience in working with clients with lived experience of multiple marginalisation.

Approach
The way I work is rooted in the humanistic approach. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space to explore alongside the client with what they bring, helping to find a way forward that is right for them. I work with clients in a holistic and gentle way - and bring an occasional sense of humour(!).
