About the Therapist
Psychotherapy supports you to find a deeper connection with yourself and cope with the challenging parts of living. With time, it can bring greater freedom to live in ways that are more hopeful, meaningful, and aligned with what you want. You might be arriving here completely new to therapy, you might have had positive or negative past experiences of it, or you might be looking for a change.
As a therapist I have an attentive, curious, and warm approach. Our sessions are a supportive environment for you to speak without censoring yourself and I will listen with an open heart and mind. Ultimately I believe you hold the answers—I don't come with a pre-made plan, and actively avoid assigning labels or pathologising what you are experiencing. Instead I'm here to listen, offer an outside perspective on the issues you bring, and support you to get curious about yourself.
About Me
I am a trans woman, and a relational psychodynamic therapist based in London, originally from Yorkshire. I work with people from all walks of life, but have specific personal and professional experience with issues related to queer and trans identities, body-image, non-normative relationships, neurodivergence, disability, sex work, community building, and activism. At my core, I am committed to seeing the uniqueness and complexity of your experience and worldview; through and beyond how you understand your identity.
I believe that therapy should be available to all, and am aware of the harm that can be caused by therapists who minimise or marginalise the experiences of those who face systemic racism, queerphobia, ableism or classism. I am committed to ethical and politically-minded ways of working, and in particular am attuned to the ways that suffering is shaped not only by past experiences of trauma, but by the very real limitations and structural violences we face today.
It is in light of these difficult conditions that I draw on my experience working in the arts. To me, creative exploration is a fundamental part of being human that imbues life with meaning and creates powerful paths for self-knowledge. As such, I endeavour to work fluidly and creatively, in ways that create space for multiple truths and possibilities.

My approach is ‘psychodynamic’, which means I am interested in how past experiences continue to shape our present realities in surprising ways, and the patterns we each might find ourselves stuck in. This can be revealed through attuning to the ‘unconscious’, which means making space for emotions and memories that sit outside of your conscious awareness, that may until now have been unheard, neglected, buried, or misunderstood.
My practice is also ‘relational’, which means that I see our sessions as collaborative and co-created, and I welcome reflection on any issues that might come up between us. At times we might work in ways that are playful, imaginative, analytic or courageous, which requires that we deepen trust over time.
Finally, I believe it is crucial that you are able to explore your own identity and social context as part of the work, including experiences of ableism, racism, queerphobia, classism, or marginalisation of any kind.

I charge a sliding scale from £75 to £120 for a 50 minute session, based on what you can afford, as discussed at your consultation session. This structure gives those who can pay more the opportunity to do so, allowing me to offer low-cost therapy to people who otherwise would be unable to afford it.
Low cost therapy
I also have a limited number of low-cost spaces for people who have low incomes and do not have access to savings / financial support. We will discuss what you can afford at our consultation session. If you would like to work with me at a lower rate, please let me know in your initial email, and share a little about your circumstances. If I do not currently have space I can add you to a waiting list.
