Francesca Rogers
About the Therapist
Hi, I'm Francesca. I'm a psychodynamic therapist, which means our work together explores how past experiences and unconscious patterns may be shaping present stuckness or distress. Much of my work focuses on attachment: how we learned to connect, protect ourselves, and get our needs met in early relationships, and how those patterns continue to play out today. Through our therapeutic relationship, we can begin to understand these dynamics - not to pathologize them, but to bring them into awareness and make space for change. I believe it is important not only for us to heal our attachment wounds in order to build more secure and compassionate relationships with others but also, crucially, with ourselves. After all, it's the longest and most crucial relationship we all have!
I work relationally and in a trauma-informed way, affirming of neurodivergence as well as all gender identities and sexual orientations. I'm also knowledgeable about non-monogamous relationship styles and kink practices.Â
Often, we experience conflict between our inner lives and the outside world. Untangling the way those complex, messy strands intertwine, and moving towards a more authentic, connected, and secure life can be hard. However you arrive, I will meet you with warmth, openness, and a deep curiosity about your inner world.

My practice is gender-affirming, understanding my trans and non-binary clients' identities as an essential part of their leading a fulfilling, authentic, and joyful life. I believe it is important to understand that LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, non-monogamous, and kinky individuals' experience of being in the world can often come with shame, trauma, or simply feeling different or misunderstood. I aim to offer therapy as a space in which the fullness of my clients' identities are treated with curiosity and openness, and allows for their story to unfold at their own pace.Â
Although I may share some experiences and identities with my clients, I also honour our differences and approach my work with humility, curiosity, and a belief that I will be a perpetual learner my entire life. I am deeply committed to working in an anti-oppressive, intersectional way, recognising how systems of power impact our lives and identities. I do so by reading, training, and engaging in personal and professional development.Â
