Frankie Pittwright
About the Therapist
My name is Frankie, I'm a Counsellor & Psychotherapist. I have been a psychotherapist for the last 6 years and have experience working both an approved provider for two local authorities and in private practice.
I identify as Queer & am neurodivergent myself & am particularly dedicated to working with people who identify as LGBTQ+, I also practice kink-friendly and poly-friendly therapy.
I have lived in rural Somerset for the last 9 years and know it isn't the easiest place to be LGBTQ+ or to be questioning your sexual or gender identity. I provide a safe space in person and online to explore what your identity means for you and what struggles and joys it brings to your experience of life.

I run various trainings, workshops and events on LGBTQ+ issues for the public and for schools and other organisations.

My central belief is that you are the expert of your own life. My job is to provide enough safety, space and psychological information for you to be able to understand what's happening and find the solutions. I am experienced in different therapeutic interventions, from sand tray work and other creative approaches to CBT exercises and simple talking therapy. I will provide as much structure in sessions as you'd like and I believe the most important element of therapy is the relationship we build together. This will guide us in our exploration. Alongside this I also offer tools and exercises to help you build skills you can use for the rest of your life. My aim is that all my clients should take a 'toolbox' of skills and information with them when we finish that they can use to support themselves into the future.
