Frankie Pittwright
About the Therapist
I offer a compassionate and inclusive space for individuals seeking understanding and support. My name is Frankie, and as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist with years of experience, I am dedicated to helping people navigate their unique journeys.
I specialise in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and those who identify as queer or neurodivergent, providing kink-friendly and poly-friendly therapy. My background as a foster carer, an approved therapist for local authorities and supporting parents whose children have been adopted or fostered has equipped me with valuable insights into the challenges faced by those in the care system, including adopted and fostered individuals.
Located in rural Somerset, I understand the complexities of navigating identity in an environment that can often be less than welcoming. I am committed to creating a safe and affirming space, both in-person and online, where you can explore your identity, discuss your experiences, and find joy amidst the challenges of life.
If you’re looking for a supportive environment to discuss your thoughts and feelings, I invite you to reach out and discuss how we can work together on your journey towards self-discovery and empowerment. If you’re ready to take that step, I look forward to working alongside you.

As a therapist, my approach centres on creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance based on trust, respect, and empathy.
In our sessions, I adopt a person-centred approach, meaning I focus on understanding each individual’s unique perspective and lived experiences. This allows me to tailor my methods to meet your specific needs and goals. I believe that each person is the expert in their own life, and I aim to facilitate personal discovery and growth.
I integrate various therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and narrative therapy, allowing me to provide a comprehensive and flexible framework. This helps address a wide range of issues, from anxiety and depression to identity exploration and relationship dynamics. For clients who identify as LGBTQ+, queer, or neurodivergent, I bring a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges faced within these communities. My experience as a foster carer informs my sensitivity to the experiences of those who have been involved in the care system, ensuring that I am attuned to the unique needs of adopted or fostered individuals.
Above all, my commitment is to foster an affirming and inclusive space—whether in person or online—where you can openly share your experiences and begin to heal.Â
