Gavin Duff
About the Therapist
Hi, I’m Gavin, a cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist dedicated to helping people navigate challenges such as anxiety, self-doubt, performance anxiety, and shame. I work with individuals from all walks of life, providing a safe and affirming space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgement.
I’m passionate about helping people embrace their authentic self, offering an approach that respects your unique identity, heritage, and journey. Whether you’re struggling with fear of being judged, overcoming limiting beliefs, or breaking free from the weight of shame, I’m here to help you find clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
My belief is simple yet transformative: I am good enough is more than good enough. Through a combination of cognitive behavioural techniques and hypnosis, we’ll work together to reframe unhelpful patterns, navigate life’s complexities, and create meaningful, lasting change.
If you’re ready to take the first step towards embracing your full potential, I’d love to hear from you.

My journey to hypnotherapy has been quite interesting. I’ve worked as an actor and voice artist, as well as in branding and communications within the financial services industry. These diverse experiences have given me a unique perspective, which I bring to my work with clients, helping them navigate challenges with creativity, empathy, and clarity.
As a gay man, I understand how important it is to feel seen and understood, especially when dealing with deeply personal challenges. This perspective allows me to create a safe, affirming space where clients can explore their thoughts and experiences without fear of judgement.
I use cognitive behavioural approaches to help clients explore the thoughts and beliefs that might be holding them back from achieving their goals. Together, we’ll uncover any negative thought patterns and replace them with more helpful and compassionate messages, which we can reinforce through hypnosis.
At Thought Compass, I’m committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in my practice. I want every client to feel valued, respected, and safe. My approach is grounded in the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring that everyone has a space where they can be themselves and reach their full potential.
Whether you’re facing anxiety, performance pressure, self-doubt, or shame, my approach is collaborative and tailored to your needs. Together, we’ll work to build confidence, clarity, and self-compassion, creating meaningful and lasting change in your life.
