Georgie Simmons
About the Therapist
I work with LGBTQIA+ adults and teenagers around a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, coming out, questions around gender and sexuality, relationship difficulties, minority stress, internalised shame, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, and neurodivergence.
At times, it can feel like you’re carrying everything on your own — but you don’t have to.
In our sessions, I offer a warm, relaxed, and welcoming space where you can be yourself. Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you, make sense of your experiences, and work towards greater understanding, self-awareness, emotional resilience, healthier coping strategies, and practical tools for managing anxiety, stress, and everyday challenges.
My practice is neurodivergent-affirming and fully inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ community, offering a space where everyone is respected, supported, and accepted as they are.

The relationship and trust we build together are central to my work. Feeling valued, accepted, and safe enough to open up allows therapy to become a meaningful and supportive space.
You are always at the centre of our work. This is your time, your space, your story, your emotions, and your pace. I work collaboratively and respectfully, honouring what you bring and what feels right for you.
I’m not here to magically fix things — change takes time and there’s no quick solution. What I can offer is to walk alongside you, supporting you through the process rather than telling you what to do.
I listen carefully, reflect with you, and seek to truly understand your experiences. From there, we can explore things together, build awareness, make sense of what’s happening, and gently work towards a way forward.
