Gordon McIntosh
About the Therapist
My name is Gordon McIntosh and I am a psychodynamic therapist in private practice at Clerkenwell Counselling & Psychotherapy. I work from a Jungian psychodynamic perspective, combining depth, reflection, and an educative approach that helps clients make sense of their inner and outer worlds. I have particular experience supporting LGBTQ+ people, neurodivergent clients, and those exploring issues of identity, masculinity, and social class. I encourage clients to bring their whole selves into therapy, recognising the close connection between mind and body.

Before establishing my private practice, I worked in education and mental health, teaching in further and higher education. Over the years I have supported clients with a wide range of issues, including workplace stress, identity, sexuality, family conflict, trauma, anxiety, and depression. My work is grounded in the psychodynamic tradition, influenced by Jung, and shaped by a reflective and relational approach. I see therapy as a collaborative process where understanding and change emerge through dialogue.
