About the Therapist
I use a client tailored approach, which means that my thoughts on treatment and moving forward are different for everyone. I often borrow from different philosophy and therapy methods as they come up, which results in a dynamic relationship that is always flowing and changing. By establishing safety I try to empower people inside and outside of therapy. I follow principles of transparency and fairness with my practice, and constantly keep up with new research or ideas.

My counselling process is client focused and tailored. You and your personal journey are unique, therefore there is no "one size fits all" approach in my therapy space. Although I have had a long and varied education into counselling, psychology and social forces, I remain convinced by a fact that I learned on the first day of my degree... It is often not the method of counselling which predicts a benefit to our clients, but the relationship between client and practitioner. I prioritise building trust and a sense of safety that healing can bed into and thrive in.
In my years of placement I worked in various sectors including supporting young adults and older teenagers in a college environment, supporting male and female victims of domestic abuse and coercive control in a charity setting and supporting varied referral clients in a local clinic.
Since then I have held space and healing for a wide variety of clients in my successful private practice. I have plenty of experience in neurodivergence, traumatic experiences, chronic shame, sexual/intimate matters and negative self-image. There is nothing which I believe cannot be approached with warmth, humour and depth.
Currently my practice is based online, using a secure and free telehealth platform. I can also provide walk and talk options in Torbay, but face to face work may be possible by prior arrangement.
