Jack Lamb
About the Therapist
My name is Jack Lamb and I’m a psychotherapist and couples therapist based in London. A core speciality of my practice is working with individuals and couples in consensual or ethical non-monogamous and open relationships.
Most people come to see me because they’re feeling anxious, low, or stuck, or because they’re struggling with self-esteem or relationship difficulties. Many are navigating change; opening a relationship, renegotiating boundaries, or trying to make sense of jealousy, trust, desire, or insecurity. I’m particularly good at helping people understand and work through low self-worth and self-criticism, and at supporting couples and partners with relationship challenges.
Opening a relationship can stir up powerful and sometimes unexpected emotions. I help individuals and couples navigate the anxieties and conflicts that can arise, and to think more clearly about what they want, what they’re afraid of, and how they want to relate to one another.
I work psychodynamically and relationally, which means I’m interested in why certain patterns keep repeating, not just how to manage them. Together, we look at how past experiences and internalised beliefs shape how you feel about yourself and your relationships now. As these patterns become clearer, many people feel more grounded, more confident, and more able to make choices that feel genuinely theirs.
I also have specialist knowledge of chemsex and its psychological impact, and I work with these issues carefully and without judgement. My style is warm, engaged, and collaborative, and I aim to be someone you can think openly with about difficult things, rather than someone who hides behind technique or theory.

I work psychodynamically and relationally. In practice, that means I’m interested in both what’s happening for you now and the deeper patterns that repeat across relationships and time. I focus on how past experiences, internalised messages, and unconscious dynamics influence how you think, feel and behave, and how those patterns show up in your close relationships.
My style is engaged, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I bring warmth and a bit of humour where it helps, alongside close attention to emotion and meaning. I aim to help people move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to feeling clearer, more self-compassionate, and able to make choices that feel authentic.
I’m comfortable working with both short-term, goal-focused work and longer-term exploration. With couples and plural relationships, I pay attention to what’s happening between partners as well as within each person, helping partners slow down, communicate more honestly, and renegotiate boundaries and agreements where needed.
I’m a qualified psychotherapist and couples therapist, registered with the BACP and working with regular clinical supervision. I’ve been practicing since 2023, beginning with a clinical placement at an organisation providing free counselling to people affected by HIV. This experience gave me valuable insight into working with people navigating chronic illness, stigma, and complex life challenges.
