About the Therapist
I believe people enter therapy because they want positive change and therapy can empower them to make that change happen, starting from within, with a journey of personal discovery. Embarking on this journey of potential transformation could however feel vulnerable and uncertain. Whether it is confusion, unease, pain or deep despair that brings you to therapy you would be warmly welcome. I will provide a supportive, confidential and non judgmental environment where you feel listened to and able to bring whatever you wish to work on whether it is relationship difficulties, anxiety, life/work stress, identity crisis or impact of a traumatic past.
I strongly believe in clients’ ownership of therapy. I provide a creative environment and guidance to the place where you can discover your own answers to the questions and problems which trouble you. There is no 'one-size-fits-all' and by having a range of perspectives to draw on, I am better equipped to work with the specific needs of each person. Each person is different and deserves to be fully met and respected for their diversity and uniqueness.

I practice Integrative Psychotherapy. This is a multi-model approach, combining various schools of thought and therapy practice. I resonate with the Gestalt psychotherapy approach emphasizing the continuous creative process in therapy and the importance of contact and dialogue in the present moment. My approach is also informed by the Attachment theory and the understanding of the importance of our early family relationships. I offer an opportunity for the client to reflect creatively on her/his/their issues. I believe that creativity can provide a new perspective on old problems and patterns, it can help to express feelings deeply buried, forgotten or not easily understood and can introduce flow to the areas where the client feels stuck. I often invite clients to use different art media in the session – draw/paint, sandtray figures, clay, movement, sound. No previous experience with the arts necessary. This is always an open invitation not a requirement. I am a trauma informed therapist, sensitive to the impact of traumatic experiences clients may bring to therapy. I use aspects of trauma psychoeducation to empower clients to work through difficult and life changing experiences. I have experience of working with clients with diverse issues in a variety of settings including NHS mental health services, community counselling services and a specialist service for trauma survivors. I specialise in working with survivors of sexual violence and abuse. I work with clients aged 18+
I also offer creative supervision to Counsellors/Psychotherapists wishing to reflect on their clinical work and to enhance their experience of supervision using aspects of arts and drama therapy approaches. No need to be art or drama therapist, curiosity and openness to creative exploration is enough!
NEW ! Creative workshops for trainees and qualified practitioners-Autumn/winter 2024/25
20 October 2024 3 November 2024
15 December 2024 2 February 2025
venue: Colet House, Barons Court W14 9DA
time: 10am -5pm cost: £130 per workshop
Series of four experiential workshops aimed to facilitate personal and professional growth through creativity and play.
Each workshop will focus on a different creative form – image and imagination, storytelling, movement and bodywork to explore their potential for therapeutic work and personal enrichment.
The series promotes better connection between the right and left brain for a more holistic approach to working with the personal – not just through cognitive concepts and language-based reflections but tapping into and connecting with embodied feelings, and unconscious wisdom.
Participants will be encouraged to move past their blocks to creativity to experiment, observe and connect. We will work individually, in pairs and as a group. No need to have previous experience with art making. An open mind and curiosity are however essential. Workshops are suitable for trainee counsellors and psychotherapists and qualified practitioners wishing to access their creative potential and to enliven their practice.
