About the Therapist
The longer I work as a therapist the more convinced I am that when I go into the therapy room I do not meet an issue, a problem, or a diagnosis; I meet a human being. And if we are going to work together, then I need to be seeing the client’s world (as far as I can) through the client’s eyes. So I hesitate to say that I specialise in any particular issue; I hope I specialise in listening deeply and with attention to human beings.Â
In my practice, I have had the opportunity to work with members of the LGBTQ+ community and to support many clients navigating challenges related to identity, relationships, and intimacy. I believe it is important to consider how experiences such as homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, sexism, and other forms of discrimination may affect one’s sense of self and identity.

My approach to therapy is Integrative. It seems that no-one gets through life without experiencing some form of hurt. The therapeutic process is about acknowledging this, giving our feelings the space and validation they deserve. Indeed, it is often through contacting our difficult feelings that something new can come into being.
I’ve worked within NHS talking therapy services, and with various charitable organisations, supporting a diverse range of clients.
