Jess Orwin
About the Therapist
Hi, I’m Jess, a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist offering trauma‑informed, person‑centred therapy for adults.
I know that reaching out for support can feel daunting, and I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to begin this process. You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or carrying the impact of trauma or difficult relationships. Whatever you’re navigating, you deserve a safe, supportive space to explore your experiences.
My approach is primarily person‑centred, with an interest in psychodynamic thinking. I offer a warm, empathic and non‑judgemental environment where you can explore your feelings, relationships and patterns at your own pace. My role is to walk alongside you as you deepen your self‑understanding and develop greater self‑acceptance.
I work particularly with trauma, feminism exploration, and complex or challenging family dynamics. I also specialise in Inner Child work, which can be especially helpful when exploring childhood wounds or relational trauma. This may include guided visualisation, connecting with younger parts of yourself, and practising gentle re‑parenting techniques to support healing.
I believe deeply in the power of an empathic therapeutic relationship. As Carl Rogers said, “The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing.”
If you’d like to explore working together, I offer a free 10‑minute consultation so we can get a sense of whether we’re a good fit. You’re very welcome to get in touch.
