About the therapist:

I am an experienced psychotherapist, supervisor, and trainer working in the west of Glasgow. My goal is to provide my clients with a safe and open space to explore things that are difficult to talk about or to discover renewed direction when life gets complicated. I am trained as a specialist in working with gender, sex, and relationship diversities, and I also have a particular interest in spirituality.

I am a Supervisor and Senior Accredited and Registered Member of the National Counselling Society and I work to their code of ethics and practice. I am a Supervisor and Senior Accredited Member of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists. I am an Advanced Accredited Sexual Diversity Therapist (Pink Therapy), and a Clinical Associate with them. I am also part of the faculty for their 2-year specialist training programme. .

Experience and approach:

I work with clients in a pluralistic way. This means that, although initially trained in person-centred (humanistic) and psychodynamic theory, I have a broad base of knowledge and practice, and will work with clients from a variety of perspectives. I regularly 'check in' with clients and will adapt to change as the need arises.

An initial meeting to discuss the possibility of counselling costs a flat rate of £40, and usually lasts about 30 minutes. It is important to me that you can meet me, and have some idea of how it feels to talk with me, before we agree to a contract.

My fee for each 50-minute session is as follows:

Individual Sessions: £80

Couples / Partners for relationship therapy: £120 per hour (or pro rata)

Supervision: £80 per hour

I sometimes have reduced-cost sessions available for those on state benefits or very low incomes. Please ask about this.
