I work in a neurodivergent affirming way, meaning that whatever you may be coming to therapy for, we will find a way to work with your brain, rather than against it. This can involve modifying exercises for sessions, ensuring that any knowledge is fully understood. It can also include outside of session actions, such as session scheduling.
As a pluralistic therapist I combine models, tools and approaches from a variety of schools of therapy in order to best suit you and your needs. This ensures that any decisions, tools and approached related to the direction and ongoing therapy are made together to best benefit you. I am an anti-oppressive practice and work in a trauma informed way.
I am a GSRD (Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity) specialist. This means that I have received specialist training to work with client who identify as LGBTQIA+, are trans, non-binary or gender expansive, non-monogamous, and have or desire erotically diverse practices such as kink, fetish and BDSM.
I was very fortunate that during my training I was able to take a placement opportunity at 56 Dean Street, sexual health service in London, and within that service work with TransPlus, the gender, sexual health and STI service integrated with 56 Dean Street. Following this, I was able to take a further placement with the Northern Regional Gender Dysphoria Service (NRGDS). These placements gave me the opportunity to work with the LGBTQIA+ and gender diverse communities.
