About the Therapist
Welcome to my Pink Therapy listing. My name is Jonathan Dyson and I offer a calm, confidential and professional online therapeutic space for men and women in which you can talk about what’s happening or what happened in the past. Working together using Zoom, Skype, FaceTime or other apps we can begin to tackle what may seem to be overwhelming or paralysing feelings, thoughts, situations, behaviours. We can explore directions and options, open up new ways of understanding and managing, work through and ease the most painful of emotions. Together, we can begin the process of positive therapeutic change.

I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor and I hold an MSc in Counselling Psychology with distinction from Keele University. I am DBS-checked, fully insured, registered for data protection and compliant with EU GDPR regulations. My BACP Register reference is 53805 and my BACP Accreditation member reference is 678300. For more information, please visit my website (see Contact Information).
I am a graduate of the Pink Therapy Alternative Sexualities programme. I have previously worked as a bereavement counsellor for Cruse Bereavement Care and I am a former honorary counsellor for mental health charity Mind.
I work to an integrative modality, combining theories including person-centred, psychoanalytic and cognitive and behavioural. I am also a “relational” therapist. By this I mean that the relationship between me as a therapist and you as a client is I believe of the greatest importance. I believe that this relationship, when it works and when both therapist and client connect at a deep level, is profoundly healing and helps undo some of the damage that we have all experienced in more troubled and less happy relationships.
