About the Therapist
I trained as an Attachment-Based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist at the Bowlby Centre in London and have over 20 years' experience working with clients who bring a wide range of issues to therapy. I have been registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy since 2003.
I am an Advanced Accredited Clinical Associate with Pink Therapy, working with LGBTQ+ clients. I am also a founder member of the Relational School in London, a professional organisation for therapists working from a relational approach.
I have extensive teaching experience at a variety of psychotherapy organisations, and have spoken at many psychotherapy conferences in the UK.
I have co-edited two books on working with trauma and disorganised attachments: Shattered States: Disorganised Attachment and its Repair by Judy Yellin (Editor), Kate White (Editor) Routledge, 2012, and Terror Within & Without - Attachment and Disintegration: Clinical Work on the Edge by Orit Badouk-Epstein (Author), Judy Yellin(Author) Routledge, 2013.

I work from an attachment and relational approach with my clients, which means that there is an important focus in therapy on relationships past and present, and how central they are to how we feel and who we feel ourselves to be. How secure or otherwise our relationships are has an enormous impact on many aspects of our lives and emotional well-being. Exploring past relationships can help us understand our feelings about ourselves and others, and exploring the dynamics of how we interact with others in the present can help us to change our current relationships for the better.
Clients bring a very wide range of issues to therapy. I have worked extensively with clients who experience anxiety, including social anxiety; depression; post-traumatic stress, including complex trauma (usually where the client has experienced childhood abuse); sexual and relationship problems; identity issues, including gender, class, race and culture; dissociation.
I aim to create a safe and supportive environment for my clients in therapy, as a secure base from which to explore the issues that clients want to talk about.
I have significant experience in working with clients who have experienced trauma of various kinds, both in childhood and as adults, and with clients who experience dissociation as a result of traumatic experiences.
