Katie Gerrard (on BACP under my legal name Katherine Howard)
About the Therapist
I work online and from my therapy spaces in Herne Bay and Ramsgate and specialise in a few areas. Every single person who enters my therapy space (in person or online) is unique and although having training and understanding is essential, I work beyond the diagnoses (without dismissing or invalidating diagnoses whether official or intuited) and look at what works for that individual. Within my therapy space you are free to be who you are and discover who you are.
Neurodivergence (including ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, and Dyspraxia)
Anxiety & OCD (including disordered eating)
Alternative Relationship Structures (including Ethical Non-Monogamy ENM, Consensual Non-Monogamy CNM, Kink, Polyamory, and Swinging)
Trauma (including phobias, developmental trauma, attachment trauma, transgenerational trauma, suicide, and dissociation)
Spirituality (my own spirituality is alternative, but I work with all spiritualities and religion especially those who want to freely talk about their religious experiences or to work with their religion in creative therapy)

I also have an extensive list of short courses, CPD, and work based training which are too many to list but include trauma, eating disorders, safeguarding, dissociation and dissociative disorders, GSRD, mental health, transgender, ADHD, Autism, spirituality, IFS, polyvagal theory, narcissism and narcicistic relationships, attachment, relationships, transgenerational trauma (how lucky I am that my special interest is psychology and therapy theories!)
I work in an integrative way which basically means I’ve studied different ways of providing therapy and draw on the right ones at the right times.
These include person centred, gestalt, psychosynthesis, transpersonal, polyvagal, and attachment focused. I’m also trained and experienced in hypnotherapy and yoga teaching which although aren’t part of my integrative therapy means I have an extended understanding of consciousness, the nervous system, and the way the body remembers and holds trauma.
I have additional training and knowledge in GSRD, spirituality, narcissistic relationships, dissociation, Autism, and ADHD.

These are the standard hour fees. I also offer longer and shorter session lengths and multi session booking.
Although most of my counselling clients will book weekly sessions at 50 minutes I am super enthusiastic about providing fortnightly, monthly, ad hoq and one off sessions. You won't be messing with my diary or finances if you book these I promise - it leaves lots of room for hypnotherapy clients who usually only have 2 sessions so I don't just "allow" I enthusiastically consent to non traditional therapy scheduling!
Counselling & Integrative Therapy £60 per 50 minute session
Hypnotherapy - £75 per 50 minute session (or £130 for 2 sessions booked together which is my most booked service)
Ancestor patterns work - £120 per 70 minute session
