Kingsley Ampomah Boateng
About the Therapist
I am an integrative therapist, clinical supervisor and civil and commercial mediator based in the North East of England. I work mainly with adults from LGBTQIA+ and multicultural communities who want an affirming, thoughtful space to explore their identity, relationships, and life transitions.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling and an MSc in Psychology, and I draw on cognitive behavioural, humanistic, mindfulness, and hypnotherapy approaches while keeping the therapeutic relationship at the centre of my work. Autonomy, consent and collaboration guide everything we do together.

My experience includes many years in private practice, bereavement work with Cruse, and supervision for counsellors and therapists. I have a particular interest in complex and disenfranchised grief, cultural and identity-based losses and the impact of minority stress on mental health.
As a mediator, I support individuals, teams, and organisations in navigating conflict with clarity and care, which also informs how I work with relational difficulties in therapy. Sessions are tailored to your needs and may include reflection, practical strategies, emotionally focused work, or more profound exploration of patterns. I welcome individuals of diverse genders, sexualities, relationship structures, and cultural backgrounds.
