I work integratively, which means i was trained in many different theories and approaches. I adapt how i am working with each client's individual need.
I believe in getting to the root cause of each clients issue. Dealing with symptoms has its place, but i feel unless we get to the root cause, you will never get to work out why you keep being triggered by certain situations or people.
After the first initial session where I get to understand why you have come into therapy, subsequent sessions and their frequency will depend on your needs. I am not a counsellor who makes you sign up to a certain amount of sessions. I work uniquely with each person. Some people see me once a year, some come every week, it all depends on what you need from me. Some people come to me short term, some clients I have worked with on and off over years.
My work is confidential and non judgemental. I have alot of experience of a wide range of issues from anxiety, later in life realisation of neurodiversity, burn out, depression, LGBTQI+, Relationships, couples therapy, separation therapy and trauma. I also specialise in coming out later in life (late bloomers) and have worked with Trans clients for approx 10 years.
These are the main things i work with but have covered pretty much every topic over the years.
