Laura Lynas-Gray
About the Therapist
I work with clients who may have a sense of being stuck within holding patterns or contexts that are no longer purposeful, or who struggle with issues relating to identity, behaviours, emotions and thoughts. Clients may also feel estranged from themselves without knowing why, or have trauma and relational concerns.
We can work together to identify the roots and connections between behaviors, unconscious thoughts, feelings, emotions and physiological responses. This growing awareness can illuminate how certain patterns can impact a person, their relationships and other areas within their lives. We will then work towards creating new experiences of compassion and self-fulfillment.
Psychotherapy can last a very short time or for a longer duration, depending upon one’s wishes and motivations towards developing and maintaining a more resilient and self-fulfilling life. I provide:
- a skilled understanding from several listening perspectives which will help you identify and access the inner and external resources available to you;
- tools and techniques to support the management of symptoms and for facing challenges and to enhance your problem-solving skills;
- support for you to recognise the choices you have and to implement change.
My depth of understanding is located within - but not limited to - the following:
- identity and selfhood issues
- trauma-related concerns
- generational transmission of relational patterns
- interpersonal challenges
- Gay
- Lesbian
- Other
- Queer
