About the Therapist
I completed my training as psychotherapist at the University of East London and have a psychology/social science background which also informs the work that I do with clients. Currently working within the NHS and charity organisations as well working in private practice I am interested in social issues particularly those affecting marginalised groups and I am influenced by approaches such as feminism, gender & LGBT theory as well. My aim as a psychotherapist is to provide a warm, safe and confidential environment where clients can explore, discuss, and express their feelings and emotions. Helping clients to make positive changes in their lives, whether you have been experiencing some difficult thoughts and feelings, experiences that you have found yourself unable to deal with by yourself or you are feeling like something is wrong. If you feel you have nobody to talk to, confide in or feel others will not understand you or your past, this is the place for you to be heard and understood.

I am trained as an integrative psychotherapist; this simply means that I will use a range of approaches that are tailored to the individual. I believe that there is no one size fits all approach in therapy, and I work in a humanistic fashion, this means that I work with clients alongside their own therapy goals and the values and dignity of the client. The very foundations of the work will be providing a warm non-judgemental space based on empathy. I use evidence-based interventions to help the client gain understanding and insight to the problems or maybe even solutions that they will are looking for. This will involve reflection inside and outside of the therapy, working together to produce the best outcome for you. Please get in touch via email to discuss what your needs are or even if you have any questions about the potential service that can be offered to you.
