About the therapist:

I am a non-binary queer man wanting to work within my community. This may be other trans and non-binary people but also extends to the wider queer community. I am currently doing a Research Masters in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute. In my work as a therapist I aim to create a space for people to feel comfortable to explore whatever they need to, away from judgement. I am here to listen and be with you fully as you explore your distress, joy, depression, anxiety, self-doubt, fear or anything else you wish to share. It can be incredibly valuable to do this with someone from within the community, so you don't have to explain things, but who is outside your daily life.

Experience and approach:

At the core of my approach is the belief that I as a therapist am not an 'expert' in your life and experience, only you are. What this means in practice is that I will be alongside you, with you, to help explore, figure out, navigate or change things as you see fit. I will not be making judgements about what I think you 'should' be doing or why. For me, therapy is a place to jointly discover and work out whatever you are looking for. This may sound daunting, understandably so, but you would not be alone in it. Most of my experience has been working within my community of trans and non-binary people. Many of these clients have also been neurodivergent. I am happy to work with anyone provided that we feel we are a 'good fit' for one another and will not discriminate based on identity.
