About the Therapist
I see therapy as a partnership: we both bring something valuable to the table. We can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a space that’s gently challenging, non-judgmental, and fully supportive. You are the expert on your life, and I’m here to offer you the insights and strategies that can help you feel able to move forward.
I have experience working with a wide variety of issues, but these are areas I specialise in:
• Parenting and Perinatal Mental Health:  Do you feel like you’re failing? Like you’re not strong enough or that every one else seems to have it all together? I have a thorough understanding of the emotional challenges that come with pregnancy, becoming parents, pregnancy and infant loss, and parenthood in general. I particularly specialise in supporting parents who’ve experienced childhood trauma, who want to break the cycle of abuse and are now navigating the complexities of raising children. My goal is to help you create a lifestyle and environment for both you and your family that feels contented and right for you.Â
• Anxiety: Do you feel out of control? Constantly worrying about what might happen or experience a fear of death so overwhelming you struggle to see the point in it all? If you’re dealing with anxiety, especially related to health, death or existential issues, I can work with you to help you find relief. We can explore how anxiety affects your daily life, and work on understanding and managing it, so you can feel more in control.
• Survivors of Sexual Abuse and Care-Experienced Adults: Do you feel like it was all your fault? That you’re damaged or no one will ever want you? Do you struggle to trust others? I have a wealth of experience working with people who have experienced these significant traumas and have an in-depth knowledge of the various impacts these experiences can have on all areas of your life. I approach these sensitive areas with care and understanding, and offer a compassionate and knowledgeable space to support you through the process of healing the parts of you that feel damaged.Â

I have worked extensively with young people and adults for over 10 years, with issues such as domestic and sexual abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression and existential concerns.
For several years I worked with care experienced young adults/care leavers – many of whom were young parents.
As well as providing private one-to-one psychotherapeutic counselling, I currently also work for a rape and sexual abuse service, providing trauma-informed counselling and psychotherapy for survivors.
