Maya Price
About the Therapist
I’m Maya (she/her) – a neurodivergent trans woman and integrative therapist offering online therapy for trans and gender-diverse people aged 13 and up, as well as neurodivergent individuals who don’t identify as trans. I take my work seriously, but I bring a down-to-earth, informal style to therapy. I know how important it is to feel safe, seen, and genuinely accepted - especially in spaces where you’ve had to hide parts of yourself. Building trust and offering a space where all of you is welcome is at the heart of my work.
My work is relational, affirming, and rooted in trust. Whether you're exploring identity, navigating life’s messiness, or reconnecting with parts of yourself—you’re welcome here, exactly as you are.

My approach is person-centred, relational, and trauma-aware, with a strong focus on identity exploration, and helping clients reconnect with parts of themselves that may have been shut down. I'm sex-positive, kink-affirming, and deeply committed to anti-racist and trans-affirmative practice. I offer therapy that meets you where you’re at—no judgement, no assumptions.
I'm proud to have many years of experience in LGBTQIA+ spaces - as a therapist, activist, and co-founder of Proud2Be, a community-led LGBTQIA+ organisation I set up with my twin sibling Max back in 2011. Since then, we’ve supported hundreds of LGBTQIA+ young people and adults each year, navigating everything from community building to the challenges of austerity, the pandemic, and systemic injustice.
I completed a three-year Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling at Devon Counselling College in 2019, and my continued professional development includes training in safeguarding, mental health, sexual health, anti-racist practice, and LGBTQIA+ awareness. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you—it’s about finding space to be your full self, however that looks today.
