About the Therapist
I am a non-binary relational practitioner with a history of volunteering for LGBT charities, volunteering for crisis Cafes, and running a private practice. I have ten years of experience working in the health and social care sector. At the moment, apart from running a private practice, I work for a charity as a health coach and health advocate with people who have experience of homelessness and substance misuse . I have a background in arts and creative thinking, and I use these skills to apply the theory and practice of psychotherapy and counselling in my clinical work. I offer therapy to individuals, couples and relationships.Â

The therapy I offer is relational transactional analysis psychotherapy.Â
I work relationally paying attention to what emerges between us, and will sometimes share it with you. I am also interested in the unconscious communication between us that sometimes might make itself known through ruptures between us or thoughts and feelings that suprise us. Working with me you will find a space where you can risk practicing new behaviours and new ways of thinking. I offer a therapeutic space also inviting you to explore there your capacity to feel variety of emotions especially those that make you feel uncomfortable or embarrassed to feel. Â
I work with individuals and relationships/couples. I work with a wide range of issues, including depression, stress, anxiety, bullying, shame, anger, and substance misuse. We can also work together with your gender, erotic and sexual identities, opening up your relationship, class, ethnicity and cross-cultural identities. You and I will work with what you feel is necessary and important to address and recognise in yourself and your relationships. My role is to support you in your personal journey forward and into the past. Together we can reflect on your behaviours, feelings, and thoughts. We will explore where these have come from and what past experiences might have contributed to who you are now. We will work together towards the change you want in your life.Â
When working with relationships and couples, I support partners to learn to communicate better, recognise their unfulfilled needs, be more courageous in sharing their needs and feelings and live their relationships more satisfyingly or to part well. Together we will work towards better understanding where you both become defensive and might get stuck in your flows of communication and sharing
I invite you to contact me for an initial free 20-minute online consultation to discuss how we can work together.
