Louise Heywood
About the Therapist
Over the past 12 years I have been a counsellor at a number of voluntary counselling organisations and worked in private practise. I cover a wide range of counselling areas, including depression, anxiety, low-self esteem and bereavement, and I have a particular interest in working with clients to improve their relationships. As a counsellor, I am supportive and, at times, challenging. I believe that to be effective, counselling shouldn’t be too comfortable, but that you should feel safe and supported to explore and discuss what is troubling you. Depending on your needs, I tailor my approach drawing from a range of therapeutic styles and techniques, and coaching.

I charge £90 per hour, pro-rata for other appointment lengths. I don't increase my fees for couples or multi-partnered groups. Discounts are available for pre-paying for blocks of 4 or 6 hours.
Your appointment is for the full 60 minutes, unlike many therapists who work with a 50-minute hour. This means that for every six sessions, you effectively receive an extra session compared to standard therapy models.
30, 60, 90 and 120 minute appointments available.
Appointments can be online or from my office in Northwich, Cheshire.
