Nick Field
About the Therapist
My primary experience and training is in Psychosynthesis, an integrated, holistic and Transpersonal model of counselling and therapy which recognises that each of us are a soul on a personal journey. My main goal with clients is to get you to explore and question your life in ways you have probably never done before and in doing so, get you to the ultimate truth of who you are and how you fit in the world. Central to Psychosynthesis is an exploration of meaning, purpose, creativity, inspiration and values, whilst also addressing the many personal struggles that can effect us. Psychosynthesis seeks to explore, integrate and heal these areas through the search for wholeness beyond the bounds of a person’s individuality.

Qualifying in 2015, I have nearly 10 years and over 5,000 client hours of experience.
I specialise in working across gender, sexual, relational and spiritual diversities including alternative sexualities and relationalities, kink, BDSM and, in particular, the gay male Leather scene. I work with psychodynamic, integrated, experiential, person-centred, creative and transpersonal techniques that are used to address problems and issues that are experienced in both the materialistic and spiritual world of the individual and how they ‘fit’ into the world. My role is to offer an emotionally warm, safe and confidential environment for you to discuss your issues or difficulties so that hopefully you can resolve or come to terms with them. Bottom line, it’s about you and your needs. What to expect in the first session: After an initial contact by e-mail or phone we will arrange an appointment as soon as we can. The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and get to know each other. It will be a space for you to ask any questions you may have about me or the counselling process and to talk about what brings you to counselling. At the end of this session we should have a good idea as to whether we want to work together and continue with further sessions, although you may want to think it over for a few days. I work out of consulting rooms at my home in Wimbledon (SW19) and online.
