As your therapist, I endeavour to create a space and a relationship of trust by listening and responding in such a way that anything and everything can be said, where we can try to make sense of confusing, painful or distressing events and experiences, and find new possibilities for being and moving forward.
My approach is non-judgemental; It is not about categorising people, nor is it about establishing a diagnosis or finding a cure. It is about me offering you a supportive, tender and professional relationship and accompanying you on a journey of getting to know yourself better and finding the answers only you can know.
I work from an existential-phenomenological perspective, which means that my approach to psychotherapy is based in philosophy engaged with the question of what it means to be human. This can be a very powerful way of reflecting on and making sense of the challenges and struggles we all encounter throughout our lives.
