About the Therapist
Whether you're just wanting one session, something more long term, or anything in-between, I offer open-ended therapy to suit your needs. I am a queer trans man in my 30s, from West Yorkshire. I use the person-centred approach in my practice, and I qualified in 2022. I come from a working class background, so I understand the importance of keeping therapy affordable.
If you're unsure if I am the right therapist for you, you can book a one off session at a discounted rate with no pressure to continue sessions if I am not the right fit for you. Please see the "Fees" section for further information.
I currently work remotely with clients from all over the UK (and occasionally Europe).
I also practice in-person out of Our House (LGBTQ+ community hub) in Wakefield city centre.
Our House is wheelchair accessible, with no step to access the building and a gender neutral accessible toilet on site.
Unfortunately, I only work with adults at this time.

I believe there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to therapy, which is why the person-centred approach resonated with me so well, as it takes into account the individuality of each client. My aim is to provide a comfortable space for someone to explore their sense of self, their feelings, and their lives, without the fear of judgement. Resulting in you gaining a deeper understanding of yourself, and your place within this world.
With this in mind, I am drawn to the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly the trans community, and have both lived experience, and client experience in this area. I also have experience working with the following subjects (not limited to): Anxiety, depression, burnout, neurodiversity, chronic illness, family issues, work-related stress, HIV/AIDS, kink-aware, low self-esteem, non-monogamy, sex issues, sexual abuse, bereavement.
