About the Therapist
About me and my journey
Hola and welcome! I’m Pedro (he/him), a BACP-accredited counsellor originally from Barcelona, now based in London. I offer a space where you can feel safe, heard, and fully yourself.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked at the National Portrait Gallery, where I founded its first LGBTQIA+ network. This initiative gave voice to LGBTQIA+ experiences within the institution and created vital peer support for colleagues. That passion for visibility, community, and well-being continues to shape my therapeutic work today.
Alongside my private practice, I support NHS clients and work with charities helping survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence. I’m also passionate about helping migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers process complex emotional journeys and build resilience.
My counselling practice is grounded in the belief that healing and growth happen when we are met with empathy, authenticity, and respect.
I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, supporting people from all walks of life, especially those navigating identity, relationships, trauma, and neurodivergence.
Struggles I commonly work with are stress, sexual problems, anxiety, depression, social stigma, relational issues, abuse, low self-esteem, panic attacks, intercultural difficulties, and LGBTQAI+ issues.
Why I believe in therapy
Therapy helped me see there was nothing wrong with me, just parts of me that needed compassion.
What first brought me to therapy was the need to feel understood, not judged, not “fixed,” but truly seen. As a client, I discovered that there was nothing wrong with me. My thoughts, feelings, and behaviours all made sense once I had space to look at them with kindness and curiosity, rather than shame.
Therapy gave me the chance to understand where my struggles came from. I could finally see how my beliefs were shaping how I responded to life, and that I didn’t have to stay stuck in old patterns. Most importantly, I realised that change doesn’t come from trying to be someone else or running away from my feelings: it starts when we accept who we are, with compassion.
That’s the kind of space I now offer to others: a place where you don’t have to have it all figured out, where we can gently explore what’s going on, and where growth happens not through pressure but through understanding.

Working together
I offer a therapeutic space that’s welcoming, inclusive, and centred on your needs. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, loss, identity, cultural pressures, past trauma, or simply feeling disconnected, we can work together to explore what’s getting in the way and find a way through.
You might feel overwhelmed by emotions, unsure of how to express yourself, or tired of masking who you are. In our sessions, we’ll honour your full experience ( your history, your identity, your hopes ) and move at your pace toward greater clarity and self-connection.
You deserve to be supported just as you are. If you’re looking for a therapist who celebrates diversity and works with compassion, creativity, and depth, I’d love to hear from you.

Compassionate Counselling with a Focus on Diversity
I'm trained in the Person-Centred Approach, which places your lived experience and autonomy at the heart of the work. You set the pace and I offer a calm, non-judgemental presence as we explore what matters to you.
My approach is sensitive to trauma, which means I’m careful to handle any past hurts without causing further distress. We’ll work together to understand how these experiences affect you today and explore ways to move forward with clarity, resilience, and confidence.
My approach is informed by specialised training in:
-
Working with LGBTQIA+ clients
-
Neuroaffirmative care for ADHD and neurodivergence
-
Complex trauma and shame
-
Men’s mental health
-
Anti-oppressive and intercultural practice
Creative thinking is part of who I am. I bring my background in Fine Arts into sessions by helping you see your story in new ways. I also draw from body-focused and trauma-informed practices, including somatic awareness, to help you manage anxiety and feel more grounded.
You don’t need to come with answers, just bring yourself. Together we’ll navigate the feelings, questions, or stuck places you’re carrying and gently make sense of them.
