About the Therapist
About me and my journey
I’m Pedro (he/him), a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I offer therapy in English and Spanish, both online and in person in London Bridge (SE1) and Greenwich (SE10).
Many of the people I work with are LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent, or questioning whether they might be. Some have spent years masking, adapting, or explaining themselves in order to feel safe or accepted. Others are carrying the impact of anxiety, depression, trauma, shame, or difficult early relationships. Often, it’s a mix of all of this.
At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens when you feel genuinely heard, respected, and met as you are.
My approach is trauma-informed, neuroaffirmative, and person-centred. That means I’m not here to analyse you, diagnose you, or tell you who to be. I’m interested in understanding your experience, how you’ve learned to survive, what’s been missing, and what you need now.
Therapy with me is a collaborative space where we go at your pace and listen carefully to what your emotions and body are communicating.

Community, Visibility, and Commitment
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked at the National Portrait Gallery, where I founded its first LGBTQIA+ network. Creating that space for visibility, connection, and peer support was deeply meaningful to me, and it continues to shape how I work today: Community, belonging, and being seen matter, especially in environments where those things have often been missing.
Alongside my private practice, I also work as a counsellor with NHS services and with charities supporting survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, as well as migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. Working in these settings has deepened my understanding of trauma, power, and resilience, and of how important it is for therapy to be a space where you feel believed, respected, and in control of your own process.
At the heart of my work is a belief that healing and growth happen when we are met with empathy, authenticity, and respect.
Compassionate Counselling with a Focus on Diversity
I’m trained in the Person-Centred Approach, which places your lived experience, autonomy, and inner wisdom at the centre of therapy. You set the pace. I offer a calm, non-judgemental presence as we explore what matters to you, what feels difficult, and what may be asking for care or understanding.
My work is trauma-informed, meaning I’m attentive to past hurts and careful not to rush or re-open experiences before you feel ready. Together, we’ll gently explore how earlier experiences, including family dynamics, social stigma, or marginalisation, may still be affecting you today, and look for ways to move forward with more clarity, resilience, and self-trust.
What are you invited to bring
You don’t need to come to therapy with answers, goals, or everything neatly worked out, just bring yourself.
Together, we’ll gently navigate the feelings, questions, or stuck places you’re carrying and make sense of them at a pace that feels safe and respectful. Therapy doesn’t have to be about fixing yourself: it can be about understanding yourself with care and finding ways of living that feel more authentic and sustainable.
