Peter Reynolds
About the Therapist
I will meet you with warmth and compassion. I focus on creating a safe and non-judgemental space so that clients can share and explore at their own pace.
I am an experienced counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I am based in Peckham and work with individual adults, both in-person and online. I enjoy working with a wide range of clients and have particular experience with LGBTQ+ people and those who are dealing with loss, grief and bereavement. Many of my clients are living with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and the impact of trauma. I also work with the impact of adoption on adult adoptees, adopters and birth family.

I have an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and, before training to be a counsellor, I worked for many years in the arts. In addition to my private practice, I have experience of working for a bereavement charity and within LGBTQ+ mental health services.
My training followed an integrative model which enables me to be flexible in my approach. If you are feeling stuck, anxious or dissatisfied in your life, it might be helpful to explore some of your early experiences and think about how those are affecting you today. Alternatively, if you have a more particular challenge that you would like to tackle, we can be more focussed.

I charge £65 per 50 minute session. I don’t charge for our first session. It’s a chance for us both to get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit. You can share a little about what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions, and hear more about how I work. I’ll also be thinking about whether I’m the best person to support you. There’s no obligation to continue — the session is simply an opportunity to explore.
