Rebekah Banks
About the Therapist
I feel deeply passionate about empowering others to find a greater sense of security and self-understanding. As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I draw upon a range models to tailor treatment according to the specific needs of each client. We are all unique individuals with our own unique life experiences and aspirations, I believe that therapy should reflect this uniqueness.
By creating a safe, compassionate, judgement-free environment, I invite you to express yourself authentically. Together we will explore your thoughts, feelings and life experiences, helping you build deeper self-awareness, autonomy and agency. In our sessions, I aim to stay attuned to your changing needs, ensuring the therapy consistently evolves with you. I believe that you know best what it is like to “walk in your shoes” and I strive to empower you on your journey of personal growth and self-development.

I have gained a great deal of experience working with people from all walks of life in a variety of situations and practices. From low cost counselling services to a charity focusing on equity and diversity health services. However, my special interest is working with minority groups and I have expertise in counselling the LGBTQ+ community and people of the global majority living in the UK.
I combine the attunement, co-regulation, and relational presence of attachment-based therapy and person-centred approach whilst utilising the practical tools of CBT. In this holistic approach to healing, I also blend trauma-informed somatic techniques and mindfulness practices into the journey.
