About the Therapist
Richard Hennebert is a person-centred therapist, with a humanistic and non-judgemental approach.
"I trained and qualified at LC&CTA (Lewisham Counselling and Counsellor Training Associates) in London. There, I obtained the Intermediate Certificate in Counselling Skills, the CPCAB-accredited Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies and the BACP-accredited Higher Professional Diploma in Counselling with distinction. I was also presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award 2018 for outstanding research in the field of counselling and psychotherapy.
I now work in private practice. I work in English, and I also speak French.
I have been working online as a counsellor for London Friend, an LGBTQ+ charity based in London, since the beginning of the pandemic. Prior to that, I was a volunteer counsellor with them for nearly 3 years. I also facilitated groups for gay and bisexual men, developed a creative writing group to help process traumatic experiences through writing, and worked as a key worker for Antidote, a drug and alcohol support service, as part of London Friend."

Briefly, person-centred counselling is a non-directive and non-judgemental approach to help you talk about or simply try to verbalise what is going on; it could be a nagging feeling, a worry, a traumatic event, a crisis at home, some bad news or whatever that does not feel right.
You may want a change in your life, or simply to come to terms with something. In my private practice and with London Friend, I work with clients who are experiencing a wide range of emotions: depression, anxiety, stress, and anger. However, I've only selected a few and they may not be your emotions and that is ok. My clients may also talk about intimacy, sex, relationships, loss, grieving, self-harm, abuse, bullying, coming out, gender, addiction, HIV, self-image, and again I could go on. There is no such thing as an exhaustive "list". In other words, they talk about whatever life is throwing at them.
It is ok to talk about whatever life is throwing at you.
