About the Therapist
It’s pretty rare these days for people to have a space where you can speak freely, that is totally, 100% your own. And that’s what therapy is for – to give you a place that is yours. To be messy, to let go, to reveal the ugly parts that you don’t want to admit exist. To be witnessed, and be seen – to figure out and reveal all the different parts that make up who you truly are.
And I want to really acknowledge how hard it is to step into that place, especially when you’ve been told your whole life not to let the mask fall (don’t let us down, don’t cry, don’t be weak, don’t be vulnerable, it’s dangerous, you must be strong, etc). And how important those learnings might have been in the past to keep you safe, and to get you to where you are right now. Even though now, they might no longer be serving you, perhaps why you’re on my page in the first place.
I take care to co-create with you a space of acceptance and inclusivity, where you can feel accepted and able to talk about a variety of issues regardless of how you identify.
My work is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and grounded in my own experiences and axis of difference. I draw upon the concepts of attachment theory, polyvagal theory, trauma-informed care, somatic work, neuroscience, and developmental psychology, ensuring my work is grounded in clinical research and practice. I seek to create a space to breathe and regulate amidst the chaos of day-to-day life, where for 50 minutes, you can focus purely on yourself.

It can be exhausting, trying to fit in. Feeling like you’re wearing a mask all the time. An emptiness inside, maybe.
But in making the decision to start therapy, you are choosing yourself. Your wellbeing, your energy, and your heart over the dissatisfaction, melancholy, the repeated frustrations. Nothing will change unless something changes.
I have an MA in Child and Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapy, training at Terapia, a therapeutic centre accredited by Middlesex University. My clinical thinking is grounded in developmental psychology, attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and neuroscience, supported by a two-year infant observation which strengthened my capacity for attunement and formulation. I have offered short, medium, and long-term therapeutic intervention in 1:1 and in group settings, with young people and with carers and families to provide reflective parenting and psychoeducation, from the age of 3 to older adulthood, both in person and online.
I am a fully accredited member of UKCP under their College for Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy College (membership number: 2011186385).
