Sarah Treagus
About the Therapist
I have extensive experience working with older children, adolescents and adults within a school and private setting. I offer a confidential, safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to enable you to explore difficult issues and promote your wellbeing. My approach is integrative which means I use three methods of therapy: Psychodynamic, Person Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Life can present a complex mixture of circumstances and emotions and a multi-faceted approach will ensure the potential to reach all clients.
My therapeutic work includes helping clients with stress, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, self-harm, eating disorders, relationship, sexuality and transgender issues.
I am happy to answer any questions you may have either about my approach or how I would work with you in a safe and ethical manner. By reading this you have made the first difficult step to seek counselling. Your next step is to email me for us to set up a free 15 minute call (zoom or phone) for you to decide if I feel like the right therapist for you.

I started my counselling journey by training as a hypnotherapist to understand the unconscious mind and how we form patterns, habits, beliefs and behaviours. I then trained as an integrative counsellor. This means that I am Humanistic in my approach using a person centred style of working. I look at where you are at now, what brought you to this point and where you would like to be, focusing on any changes or adjustments to help you feel better. I work reflectively thoughtfully and flexibly reviewing your needs as we progress.
For the last 5 years I have trained student counsellors as well as always keeping abreast of new research and updating my experience with regular CPD.
I am registered with both NCPS and BACP
