Sebastien Black - EMDR Therapist | Complex Trauma | Somatic Counselling (NCPS Accredited)
About the Therapist
My name is Sebastien Black (he/they), and I’m a queer integrative therapist offering therapy online through Soft Focus Therapy. My practice centres around care, curiosity, and consent.
I support clients exploring trauma, GSRD issues, self-worth, neurodivergence, and life purpose. I draw from Internal Family Systems, existential and humanistic therapy, and somatic approaches to gently support healing and change.
I believe therapy works best when it’s collaborative, non-judgemental, and creatively attuned. I’m LGBTQ+ affirmative, kink-aware, neurodivergent-affirming, and welcoming to people in all relationship styles — including polyamory and open relationships.
Alongside individual work, I’m trained to offer affirming couples therapy, supporting LGBTQIA+ couples and non-monogamous partnerships to explore trust, communication, sexuality, and connection.
My work is informed by years of study, lived experience, and deep respect for the courage it takes to reach out. You’re welcome exactly as you are.

My work is integrative — combining relational depth, parts work (IFS), somatic awareness, and trauma-informed care. I’ve completed over a decade of CPD, including training in working with GSRD clients, survivors of abuse, complex trauma, neurodivergent adults, and couples.
I welcome clients navigating anxiety, dissociation, ADHD, grief, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck. I also bring warmth and creativity to those exploring identity, purpose, emotional integration, and the dynamics of trust and communication in their relationships.
Whether you come as an individual or a couple, you’re welcome exactly as you are.
