Simon Brooksbank Psychotherapy
About the Therapist
I’ve always been deeply interested in people and what makes them tick. It was this curiosity about human experience, relationships, and personal growth that first drew me to train to be a psychotherapist nearly ten years ago.
I see being a therapist as an immense privilege where I'm able to walk alongside my clients as they come to understand themselves more fully. Through my long, intensive, and broad-based training and working with patients and clients, from a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances, this has equipped me to help explore what brings you into therapy and beyond.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and empathetic. I don’t see therapy as telling you where to go or what to do, but as working together to help you navigate what feels right and meaningful for you. I aim to create a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships, and experiences at your own pace, while feeling genuinely heard and understood.

Alongside my general practice, I have a particular interest in men's mental health. I support men in exploring the unique challenges they may face around identity, relationships, fatherhood, emotional wellbeing, life transitions, purpose, and societal expectations.
I also offer coaching which is more goal-orientated and centred on addressing specific challenges, developing coping strategies, and creating meaningful change in the areas of life that matter most to you.
