About the Therapist
As a working class, queer women I have always gravitated towards working with LGBTQIA+ community and I feel personally passionate about holding the layers of intersectionality and identity. I work with people from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds, sexual identities/orientation, neurodiversity, and people who identity across the gender spectrum. My focus starts with building a strong rapport and trust as we begin to open up the space to understand how you make meaning in your world. For most of us it can feel unique to have a place just for us, somewhere we can begin to unpack and feel heard or listened to. By growing feelings of trust, collaboratively we can start to explore parts that may have felt small, dangerous, or shameful.

The way I relate to others has been harnessed over my 15 years of hospitality experience and my 10 years of counselling training. I place deep importance on creating a comfortable environment with my clients and am conscious of this from the beginning. After completing an introduction to counselling at the Mary Ward Centre and went on to complete my Diploma in Integrative Counselling at The Minster Centre which offers experiential engagement with the main psychotherapy schools of thought including working with the body and our experience beyond our material one. I am currenting near completing a Masters in Psychotherapy. I have years of experience in working with people who have been diagnosed with HIV, people struggling with sex, gender and sexuality, psychosexual issues, and people with a history of Chemsex.
